Ella Louise Bumbalough, age 78, of Lebanon TN, passed away on February 11, 2025. Ella was surrounded by family and passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior.
The Funeral Service, conducted by her pastor, Pastor Jeff Pratt, is 11 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Immanuel Baptist Church (214 Castle Heights), Lebanon TN. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery will follow the service. Pallbearers are: Nicholas and Collin Sackman, Dylan and Blake Bumbalough, Kayden Tisdale, and Douglas Maynord. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. Everyone is welcome to wear a splash of red in honor of Ella’s life of love and giving.
Ella Louise Hinds Bumbalough was born in Jamestown TN to Illa Glen Collins Hinds and Travis Hinds. She worked at Texas Boot, Wynn’s Precision, and Uncle Pete’s Truckstop. Her best loved job was working in the gift shops at Opryland. She was married to Thomas Bumbalough and together they shared 55 years of love and raised a family. Ella was affectionately called “Granny” and loved to cook with her grandkids. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and also sang in the choir and taught in children’s Sunday School class. She loved her church and her church family.
Mrs. Bumbalough is survived by her children: Chuck Bumbalough and Trayce (John) Sackman; grandchildren: Krista (Chris) Tisdale, Blake, Dylan, and Kayla Bumbalough, Ashley Brooke, Nicholas (Ashley), and Collin Sackman; great-grandchildren: Kayden Tisdale, Kassidy, Liam, and Paxton Bumbalough, Opal Rose, Andrew, Archer, and Coltyn Sackman; brother: Roy (Linda) Hinds of St. Louis MO; sisters: Terry Goodrich of Tallahassee FL and Glenda Grant of GA. Ella had a special neighbor: Dawn Hagan and family; Clara Ray and Bob Miller, whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Thomas L. Bumbalough, parents Illa Glenn Collins and Travis Hinds, her very dear Uncle Elmo and Elsie Collins of the Allon’s community and brothers Charles and Samuel (Maxcine) Hinds.
