Edward Wayne Tarpley, Jr. age 58 of Woodbury, died Monday evening, May 26, 2025 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro. Born Nov. 7, 1966 in Columbia, TN, he was the son of Edward Wayne Tarpley, Sr. and the late Betty Marie Evans Tarpley. He was a construction worker and loved the out of doors, especially hunting, fishing and kayaking; he served as a member of the TN Army National Guard.
Eddie is survived by his daughters, Brandy (David) Estes, Magen Tarpley, Allie Tarpley and Isabella Tarpley; grandchildren, Addison and Gracie Estes, Brylee Tarpley, Aubree Phillips and Clay Davis; his father, Edward Wayne Tarpley, Sr. and a brother, Terry (Lisa) Tarpley.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2025 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Hunter Stanfield and Terry Tarpley officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. till service time on Friday. Interment will follow at Prosperity Cemetery. Pallbearers, David Estes, Terry Tarpley, Brylee Tarpley, Dylan Tarpley, Steve Lea and Paul LaFevor.
The family wishes to thank all of Eddie’s caregivers, especially Judy Tarpley, Katie and Kayla, and the nurses and staff at Alive Hospice.
