Douglas Donald Crabtree, age 79 of Lebanon passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by parents, Gilbert and Elsie Crabtree; brother, David Crabtree; and sister, Frieda Holder.
Doug is survived by wife of 43 years, Susan Anderson Crabtree; son, Matt Crabtree; daughter, Kristy (Jeremy) Bush; grandchildren, Ellie and Emma Bush; brothers-in-law, Charles Anderson and Jimmy Anderson; “grandchildren of the heart” Marleny, Loree, Christy, J.T., Kaitlyn, Michaela, Joey, April, Lizzy, David, and Isaac; and “great-grandchildren of the heart”, Lilly, Tessa, Ben, and Levi; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
He was a National Guard Veteran, a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and was retired as Postmaster from the Cottentown Post Office. He was an avid UT fan, loved family genealogy, being a grandpa and spending time with his family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 7463 Hickory Ridge Rd., Mt. Juliet, TN 37122 on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 1 p.m. with visitation from 11 a.m. until the service. Rev. Rodney Duckett and Rev. Jonas Taylor will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Faith Forward Fund, 7463 Hickory Ridge Rd., Mt. Juliet, TN 37122 or Alive Hospice.
