Dorothy Hackney Waters, age 93 of Lebanon passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Quality Center.
She was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Beulah Mae Hackney; husband, David Waters; sisters, Mildred Webb, Hazel Stewart, and Shirley McKee; and infant brother, Charles Hackney.
Survived by daughters, Gayle Waters Loftin and Kathy Waters (Stephen) Foster; sister, Katherine Stanton; brother, Pete Hackney; grandchildren, Jason (Tommy) Williams, David (Colynn) Foster, Zach (Sherida) Foster, Rebecca (Djacob) Foster-Young; great-grandchildren, Eric Williams and his mother, Tara, Sweet Pea Williams, Aiden Foster, Keegan Foster, Colton Foster, Brenen Foster and Cora Foster.
Mrs. Waters was a homemaker and also helped her husband in his various businesses.
She was a very active member of the Jaycettes and was an avid bridge player and reader. She loved genealogy and worked endlessly collecting history about her family. She also enjoyed antiquing and spending time with her loved ones.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Partlow Funeral Chapel, 233 West Main St. from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
