Dorothy ‘Dot’ Mcgregor Hancock, age 76 passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Preceded in death by her parents, Hoyte McGregor & Pauline Nickens McGregor; brother & sister-in-law, Henry & Gayle McGregor.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Hancock; children, Rodney(Gina) King, John (Monette) Hancock & Jennifer (Brian) Fountain; grandchildren, Andrew (Elizabeth) King, Philip (Allie) King, John B. Hancock, Elijah Hancock, Natalie Fountain & Brice Fountain; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Grace (Terry) Robinson; brothers, Jerry & Danny McGregor.
Dot was born in Rutherford County and moved to Lebanon in 1973. She enjoyed farming with her husband, and loved planting a garden each year. Her passion was to prepare a home cooked meal for her family. She was a loving wife, mother & grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 4th 4-7 p.m. & Thursday September 5th 10:00 a.m. until funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Active pallbearers will be family & friends. Interment, Cedar Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions may be made in her memory to Sherry’s Hope.
