Doris P. Gragg, age 86 of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024.

She is survived by loving husband of 58 years, Arnold Allison “Al” Gragg; daughters, Angela “Angie” (Jody) Russell and Sandra “Sandy” (Jeremy) Jones; grandchildren, Ally Elizabeth Jones, Olivia Caroline Jones, Tanner Christian Jones, and Tyler Alexander Jones; brother, Tommie “Kenny” (Marilyn) Puckett; sister-in-law, Joyce Puckett; several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Lloyd Puckett, Sr.; sister, Lois Edwards Jones.

Ethel Doris Puckett was born unto the union of the late Bradley Gaston and Nina Mitchell Puckett on Saturday, April 23rd, 1938, in Baxter, Tennessee.

Doris met the love of her life, Al, and the two wed on Friday, December 31st, 1965. Doris was a devout member of the Church of Christ and was impactful for the Lord to those around her. During her early adult life, she brought many of those in her closest circle to be followers of Christ. Mr. and Mrs. Gragg previously attended Lebanon Rd. Church of Christ before becoming current members of Mt. Juliet Church of Christ in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee in 1998. Doris and Al also volunteered for several years at Disaster Relief.

Mrs. Gragg was a wonderful homemaker and a fabulous cook. She and Al loved to travel and enjoyed going camping and fishing together. Blessed with a green thumb, Doris loved all flowers and tending to her garden. “Grandmomma” was her favorite title and she held it proudly, always supporting her grandchildren in any sporting events or activities they were involved in. Doris will be remembered for her quiet, kind demeanor, singing hymnals throughout her home, and her strong faith that weathered any storm. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

The Funeral Service, conducted by Bro. Wayne Miller and Bro. Craig Evans, will be held on Monday, June 10th, 2024, at 02:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet. Interment will follow in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Trent, Harold Young, Percy Green, and Aaron Jones. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 10th from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 02:00 p.m.
