Mr. David Wayne Hemontolor, Sr., age 69 of Lebanon, passed away on March 8, 2024, at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital.

Born in Wilson County, TN, on June 30, 1954, he was the son of the late Charlie B. Hemontolor and Johnnie Hazel Warren Hemontolor.

He was a 1972 graduate of Lebanon High School and attended the Church of God Worship Center in Lebanon.

He worked for the Wilson County Sheriff’s Department for twenty years, the Wilson County Road Commission for eleven years, and retired as a court officer for Judge Brody Kane due to declining health.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two granddaughters: Cassie Comer O’Bryan and Hailey Jade Comer; and brother-in-law, Frank Hall.

He is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Pam Kelley Hemontolor; two children: David Wayne Hemontolor Jr., Melissa Dawn (Chris) Burton; three grandchildren: Darrin (Terri) Hemontolor, Kyleigh Burton, Ella Elizabeth Hemontolor; great-granddaughter, Kaylee Marie Hemontolor; sister, Jo Helen Hall.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 1 p.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Lee, Judge Brody Kane, and Sheriff Terry Ashe officiating. Interment – Cedar Grove Cemetery. Active Pallbearers: Darrin Hemontolor, Chris Burton, Mike Warren, Tony Reed, Anthony Gray, Jerry Dallas, James “Monk” Kennedy. Honorary Pallbearers: Wilson County Sheriff’s Department, James Woods, Cheryl Henry, Peggy Williams, Curtis Akins, the Honorable Judges: Brody Kane, Barry Tatum, John Gwinn, and John Wooten, Wilson County Mayor Randall Hutto, Larry Bowman, Sheriff Terry Ashe, Odis Warren Jr. Visitation Monday 3-7 p.m. and Tuesday 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home.
