Dan Long, age 87 of Lebanon, passed away on March 16, 2025. The Funeral Service, conducted by grandson, Jason Harlan, is 1 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2025 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Interment in Maple View Cemetery in Smyrna will follow the service. Family will serve as Pallbearers. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Earon Daniel “Dan” Long Sr. was born in Nashville TN to Lora Lenar Roberts Long and William P. Long. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. He was a Mason for 50 years, 32nd degree Mason Shriner. Dan loved pawn shops, collecting coins, and fishing. He was big into playing country and bluegrass music, and even had his autographed picture on the wall at Uncle Pete’s.
Dan Long is preceded in death by his wife Nora Jeannine Long; son William Ivan Long, parents Lora and Billie, sister Christine, and brothers PeeWee, Walter, Paul, and Johnny. He is survived by children: Pamela D. (John) Foster, Sherrie J. (Ken) Sprouse, and Earon D. (Leisa) Long Jr.; grandchildren: Deana Kale, Brad Maxey, Matt Maxey, Jason Harlan, Christopher McCormick, Tony McCormick, Stephanie Foster, and Lexie Long; 17 great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family.
