OBITUARY: Cleophus Linbergh ‘Len’ Anderson

Cleophus Linbergh “Len” Anderson, age 93 of Watertown, was born March 8, 1929 in Martha Gap, VA, son of the late Elijah Shelby Anderson and Lillie Turner Anderson. Len passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022.

He was preceded in death by beloved wife, Frankie Rose Anderson and eldest son, Barry Philip Anderson. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, W.R. and Banner Anderson; sisters, Sue Atteberry and Rose Sutherland.

Len is survived by his children, Cappi (Buckner) Gibbs, Brian (Donna) Anderson and Kim English; grandchildren, Angel (Chris) Krause, Rebekah Anderson, Shelby (Brittany) Anderson, Josiah Gibbs, Jazmine and Leah Shutes; great-grandchildren, Calista, Cameron, Madison, Ethan, Brynlee, Eden, Alexis and Ariya; sister, Joyce Nell Edwards; brothers, Gary (Juanita) Anderson and Don (Cathy) Anderson; nieces and nephews.

Len was an avid fisherman, who always had time for friends and family. He always had a “project” or 3 in the works. a talented craftsman who could build or beautify anything he touched. An animal lover (whisperer) and a farmer who shared his harvest with neighbors and friends. Family to most; friend to all. Len was a US Army veteran.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Denny Shepard officiating. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. till service time Saturday. Pallbearers, Josiah Gibbs, Don Anderson, Ronnie Edwards, Mike Rose, David Campbell, Ralph Campbell, Brian Anderson, Neil Edwards.
