Chris Arrington Obit

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher “Chris” Harris Arrington, on Wednesday, October 15th, 2025, at the tender age of 61. Chris was a remarkable man who touched the lives of many. He was a loving husband, a devoted step-father, a cherished son, a beloved brother, a remarkable uncle, and a loyal friend. Chris entered the world in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday, April 23rd, 1964, as the beloved child of Dorothia Simons Arrington and the late Thomas Denzel Arrington, Sr. His legacy will endure in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.

In addition to his mother, he leaves behind his loving wife, Kelley Arrington; his step-son, Ricky Moore; his brothers, Gregg (Susan) Arrington and Thomas (Ashley) Arrington; his mother-in-law, Maryanne Moreau; his sister-in-law, Joan Tomlinson; his brothers-in-law, Mark Moreau and Matt (Kathy) Moreau; his nieces and nephews, Tanner Arrington, Avery Arrington, Corey (Chelsa) Arrington, Taylor (Heather) Arrington, Peyton (Alyssa) Arrington, Ryan Arrington, Kristy (Curt) Thompson, Brandy (Jim) Hankey, and Derrick (Jen) Moreau; his great-nieces and great-nephew, Lexi, Paisley, Garrett, Bristol, Raelyn, Michaela, and Luke. Chris also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Chris graduated from Mt. Juliet High School in 1982 and went on to continue his education at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), where he received his Bachelor’s degree in 1986. His love sports, particularly University of Tennessee football and St. Louis Cardinals baseball, was unwavering, and he never missed an opportunity to cheer for his favorite teams. Chris was happiest being outdoors—fishing, camping, or hunting.

His greatest accomplishment in life was his family and Chris was the definition of “the ultimate family man”. He took great pleasure in hosting and was known as the “Master Fire Builder” at all family gatherings. His love language was food and enjoyed cooking, baking, and grilling.

Chris had a big heart, a great sense of humor, genuine personality, and never hesitated to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He meant so much to everyone around him and words cannot express how much his presence will be missed. We’ll hold onto the memories, the laughter, and the love he shared with everyone around him.

The Funeral Service to honor Chris will be held in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet on Saturday, October 18th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow shortly after at 03:00 p.m. at Smyrna Cemetery in McMinnville, Tennessee (Warren County). The family will receive friends on Friday, October 17th from 04:00 p.m. – 08:00 p.m. and on Saturday, October 18th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
