Charles was born in Carbondale, KY, and resided in the Nashville area most of his life. He has resided in Mt. Juliet, TN the last 35 years. Charles will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family, church, and his greatest gift, storytelling.

He had a very successful career in Sales that spanned over 4 decades, with him leaving his mark on the many customers that he served. He left them with a sense of friendship, always having a kind word and quick wit leaving them with a smile. He never met a stranger, and was loved and respected by all who knew him.

He was also known as being a handy man that could fix or build anything. His patience, guidance and steady hand, made him the one to call in a crisis. He was always willing and available to help the many friends and church family that he loved, (but according to Mom, not so much at home!!).

Charles married Barbara when he was 18, in 1948 and their love story lasted one month shy of 77 years. They raised 3 children and lived a full and happy life. He will be greatly missed by us all.

Visitation will be Thursday March 12, 2026 at Sellars Funeral Home Mt. Juliet from 11:30am-1:00pm, funeral service at 1:00pm, with interment at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
