Cathy Funderburk, age 78, of Lebanon TN, passed away on December 31, 2025.
The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Scott Moore, is 12 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2026, in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Interment in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Pegram TN, is 2 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2026. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the service at noon.
Cathy McBride Funderburk was born in Nashville TN to Rose Mary Stevens McBride and Ernest Carlisle McBride. She worked at Bellsouth for 30 years before she retired in 2007. Retirement gave her the time to do all of her favorite things. She loved gardening, puzzles, reading, and cooking for the family. Cathy also enjoyed cruises and traveling, especially to the beach.
Cathy is survived by her husband of 33 years, Blair Funderburk; children: Jenny (Mike) Jones, Jeff Bell, Stephanie Bell, and Eric Funderburk; grandchildren: Robert Funderburk, Haley Bell, Mark Jones, Jarrett Jones, Mallory Bell, Jordan Funderburk, and Emily Denby; great-grandchildren: Hartlynn Jones, Rosa Lee Jones, and Montgomery Funderburk; sisters: Ellen Rankin and Carlene McBride; several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family; and last but not least, fur babies Rip and Beth. She is preceded in death by her parents Rose and Carl McBride.
