Carson Evan Marks was a beacon of light and hope. He left this world for the arms of Jesus on March 19 in a car accident. At age 20, he accomplished so much. Raised in Mount Juliet and Lebanon, he graduated from Wilson Central High School in 2022 with recognition from the National Honor Society. He earned an Associate Business degree from Cumberland University graduating Cum Laude in 2023. His positive character traits were grounded in strong faith and integrity. He earned his Eagle Scout, an accomplishment only earned by few. When Carson set his mind to it, he was always determined to achieve his goals. Carson and his Dad completed their master diver certification summer of 2024, a time consuming and strenuous accomplishment only earned by 2% of divers. Carson loved e-bike rides with family, camping, lake trips with family and friends and a new-found love of motorcycles. Carson was employed at System Integrations in Lebanon and loved his crew that he worked with on a daily basis. During his free time, he expressed his creative freedom by writing imaginative short stories and books. Carson was such a rare person and his achievements reflected that.
The most important part of Carson’s life was centered on his strong faith. He touched lives everywhere he went which involved involvement in BCM (Baptist College Ministry) at Cumberland, freshman boys co-leader at The Glade Church, mission trips, community serve days, DNOW (an annual discipleship youth weekend), and countless other ministries in which he served. Many, in all walks of life, have been led to a new calling in Jesus because of Carson.
Carson is survived by parents, Troy and Ginger Marks, sister Sarah-Beth (Andrew) Potts and brother TJ Marks. Carson was a terrific “Uncle C” to niece Parker and nephew Maverick Potts. Loving grandparents Sam and Sandi Marks, Ronnie and Lynne Dyer and Anita and Lynn Schadt as well as many aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
A short life well lived! God welcomed him saying Well Done My Child.
