Ms. Carolyn Raye Lame, age 75 of Portland, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at St. Thomas West in Nashville. Carolyn was born on June 15, 1950 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Kenneth and Hallie Rodgers.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lame and her father and mother-in-law, Virgil and Virginia Lame.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Kenneth Lame and Lisa (Brian) Hudson; grandchildren, Trey Lame, Reilly Hicks (Ryan Brown), Rhett Hicks (Lindsey Hollenbeck), Cason Williams, Joseph Lame and Melia Lame; great grandchildren, Audrey, Luca, Carter Raye, Rez, Zalee, Kennedy, Gracelynn and Lilly; sisters, Peggy Kemp and Sue Barham.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15th at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland with Bro. Jon Briggs officiating. Interment will follow the service at Old Brush Cemetery with Kenneth Lame, Brian Hudson, Rhett Hicks, Cason Williams, Trey Lame and Ryan Brown serving as pallbearers. Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Friday, November 14th from 3:00-8:00 PM and Saturday, November 15th from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM.
