Carl Lee Stroud passed away on February 22, 2024 at age 65.
Carl was born in Tell City Indiana to Edith Lorraine Ball and Charles Lewis Stroud.
He put his independent streak to good use by traveling the roads of America as a truck driver. Down time was spent riding those same roads on his Harley. Carl loved spending time with his family, fishing when he could, and pulling for the Notre Dame football team to win big.
Carl is survived by his best friend and wife of 34 years, Melissa Enoch Stroud; son: Eric (Danielle) Stroud; grandchildren: Brody Stroud, Kendall Youngs, Savannah Stroud, and Makenna Youngs; siblings: Thelma Burden, Violet (Rickey) Barnes, Charles “Jr.” (Aida) Stroud, and Tina (Sammy) Davis; sister-in-law: Martha Kello; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Charles Stroud.
The Funeral Service, conducted by Jeff Young, was at 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 25, 2024 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. The family received friends at the funeral home on Sunday from noon until the service at 1 p.m. Honorary Pallbearers: Christopher Appleyard, J.D. Young, Steven Stroud, Charlie Stroud, Troy Pike, and Jeff Young.
The family extends a special thank you to Jeff Young and his wife Jenny for their support during these last months, and their friendship in all the years before.
