Byron Bohrman, age 67 of Lebanon, passed away on July 11th, 2026. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sheila Bohrman. He is survived by his wife, Carol Bohrman; daughters, Allison Bohrman and Melissa (Will) Barton; father, Phil Bohrman and brothers, Andy (Stephanie) Bohrman and Chris (Debbie) Bohrman.
A graduate of Tennessee Tech University, Byron dedicated his career to Professional Engineering, practicing civil and structural engineering and held licenses in numerous states, before retiring in December of 2025, after 34 years. He approached every project with intelligence, creativity, and determination. Outside of his work, his passion for designing, building, and fixing shone through. Whether woodworking or tackling a new project around the house, there was rarely a problem he couldn’t solve or something he couldn’t figure out.
Beyond his profession, Byron found his greatest joy beneath the water. A PADI Scuba Instructor and member for over a decade, he completed more than 500 dives and loved sharing his passion with others. One of his greatest pleasures was teaching scuba classes alongside his daughter, Melissa, with Island Hoppers Scuba. Traveling to new destinations and exploring the underwater world brought him immense happiness, and those who knew him understood that the ocean was truly his happy place.
Above all else, Byron was devoted to his family. He was a very dedicated and supportive husband to his wife, Carol, of 41 years and father to his daughters, Allison and Melissa. He loved deeply, gave generously, and would do anything for the people he cared about. His steady presence, willingness to help, and quiet strength will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Sunday, July 26th from 12 to 4 PM at Partlow Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Byron’s memory to the Tennessee Aquatic Project.
