Bonnie Baker, age 72 of Lebanon TN, passed away on May 24, 2026. She devoted her life to raising 3 children with equal parts unconditional love, fierce protection, unmatched patience, and the occasional well deserved threat to turn this car around.

She was the kind of mom who somehow knew where everything was, who did all the worrying for the family so the rest of us didn’t have to, who could make a meal out of almost nothing, stretch a dollar, and her patience farther than anyone thought possible.

She was equal parts, grace, stubbornness, generosity and sarcasm.

Later in life she was fortunate to find a love that brought renewed joy, companionship, and laughter into her world. They found comfort in simple moments, strength in one another, and happiness in sharing life side by side. Their story was a beautiful reminder that it’s never too late for love.

Bonnie is survived by her beloved husband of fourteen years, Jim Baker; children: Alan Antes and Lena Antes; daughter by choice: Sabrina Baskin; step-children: Tammy (Mike Knight) Lang and Anthony “Tony” Baker; grandchildren: Brittany Michelle (Teddy) Kollenberg and their daughter Violet Michelle; 9 step-grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; siblings: Richard (Barb) Krider, Beverly Alaperet, Lori (James) Mottram, and Brenda (Mike) Reeck; step-sisters: Mary Vance and Joanie Stalhood; and multiple nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her son Loren Lee Antes Jr, step-son Timothy James Baker, mother Lou Hendricks and step-father Harold Hendricks, father Spencer Hutchings, brother-in-law Glenn Alaperet, step-sister Rosie Williams and nephew Sheldon Barber.

Her family will miss her deeply. Her voice, her humor, her strength and the way she made a house feel like a home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
