Billy Buchanan Barnes, 93, of Mt. Juliet passed away Sunday, June 29th.
Mr. Barnes was a retired employee with the state of Tennessee; working with FEMA and helping families through natural disasters. After retirement, he became extremely invested in sports, both college and professional; basketball, baseball, especially football, he loved them all.
Billy is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Shirley Haltom Barnes; two sons, Barry Barnes and Kevin Barnes; two grandchildren, Chandler and Cameron; three brothers, Jimmy, Carl, and Gayle.
