Betty Jane Biggs passed away June 19, 2025 at age 89. The Funeral Service conducted by Pastor Willie Acevedo will be held Tuesday June 24, 2025 at 11 a.m.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2-7 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery (4101 Hwy 76 Cottontown, TN).
Betty was born in Nashville, TN to Maude Woodard and Henry Pomeroy. She retired from Eaton Corporation after 35 years. After retirement she went on to work in the Sumner County School System in the cafeteria. She enjoyed cooking and being with her family.
Betty is survived by her son Wesley “Eddie” (Kim) Biggs of Gallatin, daughter Tammie (Jackie) Troutt of Gallatin, six grandchildren Janie (John Hambrick) Biggs, Jenny Biggs, Jonathan Biggs, Shelby Biggs, Kristina (Scott) Hitchcock and Brandon (Glenda) Troutt, eight great grandchildren Leo Biggs, Skylar Hunt, Noah Hunt, Millie Troutt, Maddie Troutt, Bree Hambrick, Savanna Hambrick and J.D. Hambrick.
She is preceded in death by her husband J.R. Biggs, sons Tony Biggs and Bobby Biggs, grandson Michael Biggs, brothers William Pomeroy, Charlie Pomeroy and Willis Pomeroy, sister Shirley Holmes and parents Maude and Henry Pomeroy.
