Adam pursued his education with focus and determination. He earned an Associate of Radiology Technology from East Tennessee State University and went on to complete graduate studies in MRI technology at the University of Virginia. This strong academic foundation led to a distinguished career in medical imaging.

Among Adam’s proudest professional accomplishments was his tenure at Johns Hopkins Medical Center. There, he served as both an MRI technologist and manager of the department-a role that reflected not only his technical expertise but also his leadership and commitment to excellence in patient care. He then furthered his career with several hospitals in the Nashville area such as St. Thomas Medical Center, Vanderbilt, and Baptist to name a few. He also transitioned his career to FDA approved case studies related to medical research imaging.

Beyond his career, Adam found joy in music and creativity. A talented bass guitarist, he often turned to music as a source of expression and connection. As an avid live music attendee, he often attended shows of childhood idols with long-time best friend David Webb. He also enjoyed the strategy and camaraderie of poker games and had a keen eye for vintage collectibles-treasures that reflected his appreciation for history and craftsmanship. He gives thanks for adulthood friendships who gave him this passion.

Adam’s life was enriched by the love of family. He is survived by his wife, Amy Stein; daughters Sophie Izabella and Emmy Ann; Don and Cina Adams; Melanie Adams and Eric Dempsey; Bo and Jennifer Adams with Tate and Rowan; Michael and Dorothy Stein; Keith Stein with Micah Stein; and Jody Grande with Shea Grande.
