Nashville Detectives Arrest 4 Teens in Stolen Car Following Pursuit

Four teenagers were arrested last night on Old Hickory Boulevard near Andrew Jackson Parkway after Violent Crimes detectives pursued a stolen Jeep Grand Cherokee involved in a carjacking and theft in West Nashville. Detectives attempted to perform a traffic stop on Old Hickory Boulevard at Hicks Road when the Jeep, stolen out of Mt. Juliet, fled.

A pursuit was initiated and continued to Andrew Jackson Parkway until the vehicle was disabled by detectives. All five occupants attempted to flee, but four were immediately apprehended. Detectives are pursuing strong leads to identify the fifth suspect.

One of the four teens admitted to throwing a BB gun from the window during the pursuit. The BB gun looks like a real handgun.

Three of the four teens arrested were found to be involved in a Tuesday carjacking where a Toyota Camry was taken by multiple suspects with a BB gun on Premier Drive.

This is the third time Violent Crimes detectives have arrested the 17-year-old driver. He was charged with carjacking, motor vehicle theft, misdemeanor and felony evading arrest, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and being a runaway from his foster home in Mt. Juliet. The 17-year-old is currently in DCS custody.

A 17-year-old passenger is also currently in DCS custody. He was charged with carjacking, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, joyriding, and being a runaway from his foster home in Mt. Juliet.

A 14-year-old passenger was charged with carjacking, misdemeanor evading arrest, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

A 16-year-old passenger was charged with joyriding and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
