Mt. Juliet Police say a traffic stop on Lebanon Road led to the arrest of a wanted suspect despite ongoing cold and icy road conditions.
Officers stopped a vehicle for traveling more than 20 miles per hour over the posted speed limit. During the stop, police identified the driver as a 21-year-old man from Humboldt who was wanted out of Nashville on charges including vehicle theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
He was taken into custody and turned over to Nashville authorities.
Police remind drivers to slow down and allow extra time to reach their destination, especially while roads remain slick.
