Update: Detectives were successful in locating Samantha in Nashville. She is safe, and the investigation continues. Thank you to all who provided information to assist us in ensuring her safety.

Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – Detectives are actively investigating a potential kidnapping situation after a distraught female called 911, stating she was being held against her will while traveling in a vehicle on I-40 west through Mt. Juliet. 911 operators lost contact with the female, and her phone was located by officers on the side of I-40.

While on the call, the female was in distress and struggling with someone. She further stated she was being held against her will by an ex-boyfriend and her life was being threatened. They were headed on I-40 west into Nashville. While screaming for her life, her phone was taken and thrown out of the car’s window.

Through investigation, detectives believe the female in distress is 53-year-old Samantha Dean, who has ties to the LaVergne and Dallas, Texas area. Detectives are highly concerned for her well-being and safety. At this moment, it is not clear where Samantha was taken against her will.
