The City of Mt. Juliet says it has significantly increased investment in its fire department over the last decade, pointing to expanded funding, new facilities and upgraded equipment aimed at strengthening public safety.

According to city officials, capital spending for the Mt. Juliet Fire Department increased from $489,695 in fiscal year 2017 to nearly $2.9 million in fiscal year 2026 — a roughly 495% increase. The funding has supported new apparatuses, ambulances, technology, infrastructure and life-saving equipment, according to the city.

City leaders said the investment has helped bring two new fire stations online in the last three years, including Station 2 in June 2023 and Station 3 in March 2026. Officials described the facilities as designed to improve firefighter safety and efficiency, with modern training areas, upgraded living quarters and advanced safety features.
