Wyatt’s Walk & Run will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 8 am at Mt Juliet High School (1875 Golden Bear Gateway, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122).
This special event honors Wyatt, a fifth grader at West Elementary, who has a rare disorder called Smith–Magenis syndrome, which affects physical, behavioral, and developmental features. Wyatt’s Walk & Run celebrates Wyatt’s strength, spirit, and joy, which inspires his community every single day.
Wyatt’s Walk and Run back benefits the Empower Me Center, which provides recreational and educational services for our local special needs community through a variety of year-round programs and activities. Empower Me Center gives children and families opportunities to meaningfully participate in the community with their peers.
The Center is in the process of beginning construction on a state-of-the-art facility in Wilson County. The facility will include a huge recreational facility, sports complex, and eventually a multi-living facility offering housing opportunities.
Hosted with love by Wyatt’s family, Wyatt’s Walk & Run shines a light on the entire Empower Me Center community—and benefits every one of Wyatt’s wonderful friends. The funds raised from this event directly go towards the capital campaign for Empower Me Center’s new facilities currently under construction.
Whether you’re up for a full 5K or prefer a fun walk/run, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
