Lebanon High School student Cortnie Ragsdale receives Citizenship Award (Wilson County Sheriff's Office)

A Lebanon High School student is being recognized for her leadership and positive influence both in and out of the classroom.

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office announced that Cortnie Ragsdale has been selected as this year’s recipient of the Citizenship Award, an honor established in 2014 by School Resource Officer Sgt. Matt McPeak. The award recognizes students who consistently demonstrate selflessness, leadership, and kindness among their peers.

Officials say Ragsdale has played a key role in organizing and leading projects through the Youth Prevention Coalition, a program focused on educating students about the risks of drug, alcohol, and vaping use.
