November 17, 2024 – On Saturday night, around 11:00 PM, deputies responded to a report of an individual threatening to harm his neighbors. Upon arrival, they identified the suspect as Travis Smith, who was already wanted for a Violation of Community Corrections warrant from Cheatham County and a Failure to Appear warrant from Wilson County.
Mr. Smith, who has an extensive criminal history including weapons and assault charges, engaged in a brief standoff before deputies successfully took him into custody.
He now faces additional charges of Assault and Resisting Arrest.
Travis Smith is currently being held at the Sumner County Jail.
