Two people are dead following two separate crashes on I-40 in Wilson County overnight, WSMV reports.
Troopers responded just after midnight to two separate crashes near Highway 109, where one person was found dead in each incident.
As of 7:50am, all eastbound lanes of I-40 have been for hours from Mt. Juliet Road to Highway 109 as authorities cleared the scene. Lanes are expected to reopen by 8:30am.
WILSON CO: A closure of I-40 EB at mm 229 (Golden Bear Pkwy) continues following an overnight crash involving multiple vehicles. Estimated total clearance is 8 a.m.
