A fire has destroyed a historic home in Watertown, reports WKRN.
The home, known as The Cowan House and located off Highway 70, has appeared in music videos for Carrie Underwood’s “Jesus Take the Wheel” and many others.
“The water difficulties we had, the hydrant was far away, so we had to shuttle water,” Wilson County Emergency Management Public Information Officer Maegan Eldridge told WRKN. “With the wind, it just took off. Unfortunately, it’s a major loss.”
Only the chimney remains of the home after the fire; the house was vacant. A property manager oversees the home, as it is often used for music videos.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
