A traffic stop for an illegally parked vehicle in a handicap space led to two drug arrests and the capture of a wanted woman Wednesday evening in Mt. Juliet.
According to the Mt. Juliet Police Department, officers stopped a vehicle at a Mapco after noticing a handicap parking violation.
During the investigation, officers discovered a 47-year-old Mt. Juliet woman was wanted in Wilson County for violating probation related to previous convictions for joyriding and methamphetamine possession.
Police also found methamphetamine and prescription pills that were allegedly being possessed illegally.
A 55-year-old Mt. Juliet man was charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of prescription pills. The 47-year-old woman was charged with unlawful possession of prescription pills and was taken into custody on the outstanding probation violation warrant.
