June 24, 2024 – Late Monday night around 11:00 p.m., Metro-Nashville’s police helicopter alerted Mt. Juliet officers to a suspect vehicle that had fired at a Metro-Nashville Police detective vehicle.

Officers swiftly developed a plan and deployed a spike system as the suspect exited I-40 onto Golden Bear Gateway. This action disabled the vehicle near Golden Bear Gateway and Volunteer Blvd, prompting five suspects to run into the nearby woods. Mt. Juliet officers, alongside officers from various agencies, quickly established a secure containment perimeter.

With collaborative efforts from Mt. Juliet officers, Wilson County deputies, Metro-Nashville, THP, and Lebanon officers, all five suspects were apprehended and are now in the custody of Metro-Nashville police for further investigation.
