The National Weather Service of Nashville is bringing back Evenings at the Weather Service for the first time since the summer of 2019 at their Old Hickory office.

After being canceled for the past three years due to the pandemic, this event is making a comeback for Summer 2023.

Evening at the Weather Service is an in-person tour at the NWS office. Each tour will begin at 5 p.m. and will last a little over an hour.

NWS will host groups of 20-25 persons for each tour, give presentations about the NWS and other weather-related topics, give an office tour, and then we’ll conclude with the weather balloon launch at 6 p.m.

This year there will be six dates in June and July, and possibly more if the demand is there. Dates are June 3, June 17, June 24 and July 1, July 15 and July 22. Signups for the tours will begin in mid-May. Follow NWS on Facebook to stay up-to-date on when signups begin.

The NWS office is located at 500 Weather Station Road in Old Hickory.
