The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will conduct a closure of Exit 226C on Interstate 40 in Wilson County.
Starting Friday, October 10, at 8 p.m. and lasting through Monday, October 13, at 5 a.m., crews with Vulcan will close the I-40 eastbound exit ramp to Belinda Parkway/Providence Way (Exit 226C) to repair and replace damaged concrete. A detour will be in place to divert traffic to Exit 226A
All work is weather-dependent. As always, drivers are reminded to allow additional time, slow down, and move over when traveling through a work zone. The Move Over Law was passed in 2006. The penalty for violating the law in Tennessee carries the possibility of up to 30 days in jail and a maximum fine of up to $500.
