Mt. Juliet’s Parks and Recreation Department is preparing to launch a new holiday tradition at Charlie Daniels Park, inviting families, businesses, and community groups to sponsor and decorate Christmas trees along the walking trail. Each tree sponsorship costs $100, with proceeds supporting Give A Little Christmas and Big Brothers of Mt. Juliet.

Participants can decorate their trees anytime from November 24 through November 30. The trail will officially open to the public on December 1, offering a festive walkway filled with community-created displays. Prizes will be awarded for Best Family and Best Business entries, each worth $200, and a $500 prize will go to the Best of the Best winner.

Organizers note that no electricity will be available on the trail, so solar or battery-powered lights are recommended. All decorations must be removed by January 9.

Trees are already selling quickly, and the city encourages anyone interested to reserve a spot soon. The event is sponsored by Lynda and Carl Senkbeil and will help raise funds for two local charities while bringing a bright, community-centered holiday experience to the park.
