Halloween is a time for candy, costumes, ghosts and creepy movies. While there are a number of Halloween-related events in the community, here are five events happening in Wilson County that will be sure to deliver Halloween fun for the entire family.
1Halloween in the Park

Time: 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Cost: Free
Lots of booths and free candy, food trucks, hay rides, inflatables, and a petting zoo. And, of course, the annual Halloween costume contest.
The contest begins at 11:00 with pets, followed by age groups immediately after beginning with under one, one to two years, three years, four years, five years, six to seven, eight to nine, ten to twelve and themed group last.
2Brainiac Halloween Trivia and Movie Night – Beetlejuice

The fun begins at 6:00 p.m. with trivia, Halloween fun, and the playing of “Beetlejuice.” Made in 1988, this is the first installment of the Beetlejuice movies, with the second “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” now in theaters. The plot revolves around a recently deceased couple, played by Gena Davis and Alec Baldwin who hire a “bio-exorcist” demon named Beetlejuice, played by Michael Keaton, to scare the new human owners out of their house.
3Halloween 5K 4 Hope and Parkinson’s Fun Walk

Time: Registration opens at 7:30 a.m.
The race begins and ends at Mt. Juliet Middle School. The 5K is a chip-timed event. Chip timing is provided by A Matter of Timing. Cash prizes and gift certificates will be provided for overall race winners with age division prizes. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. The 5K and Parkinson’s Fun Walk will begin at 9:00 a.m.
4Wilson Co Firefighters Association Trunk or Treat

Time: 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
There will be lots of candy, food and fun including bounce houses and a chance to see an ambulance, fire engine and police car up close. Come dressed in your best costume. This event is organized by the Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce.
