Come join us as we step back in time to the 1930s and experience life as it was back then! Workers Progress Administration (WPA) Day is an all-day event celebrating the history of our park and the surrounding area during the 1930s. Join us and learn what life was like during the time of the WPA and how it was entwined with the creation of our park.
We will have the Sadie Ford Heritage Farm and Art Center open for house tours and broom-making demos. There will be old-time music, blacksmith demonstrations, a cross-cut saw contest, wood shingle demonstrations, vendors, and much more. Don’t forget to bring your appetite. There will be multiple food trucks and come cast iron cooking demos!
The event is FREE and open to the public, so grab the family, come on out and join us for an old-timey good time!
Events subject to change due to COVID-19 and CDC recommendations.
